Dolls Collection


Six dolls from Bach Collection / Guatemala and one doll from Marcella / Colombia were handed over in a small ceremony (with with Heidrun, Edda and Carolyne) in International Dolls Museum, Flateyri on 29 October 2015.

Doll from West Africa: GHANA conically rag doll, height 45 cm. Mother with Baby on her back in baby sling.

Head and upper part: darkbrown cotton wool with solid stuffing and appliqueing face.

Baby sling: top coat and rectangular apron of felt material, delicately ornated with beads of glass and plastic with geometric ornaments.

This handmade doll probably is meant for the use as tea cosy.
